Keto Chapati

Keto chapati

Good afternoon! I hope you guys are doing well. If you enjoyed my previous keto keema recipe, here’s a simple keto flatbread (chapati) you can make to eat with the keema! Full recipe below.

I really love to eat this with rice too but it is current off the menu on keto. That said, I am just your stereotypical Asian, I will still cheat and have some rice every couple of weeks. The ketogenic lifestyle has helped me lose about 15lbs in the past 8 months with completely zero exercise! If you’d like to listen to my keto story, you can take a look at this video below.

If you do enjoy my channel on YouTube, please consider subscribing! I am really starting to enjoy making them too! It’s been a challenge so far especially with editing – I’m having issue with the program but hopefully I can figure something out soon.
See you next week!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flaxseed meal
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Ghee for frying

Instructions

  • Mix the flaxseed meal, almond flour, coconut flour, garlic powder and salt together.
  • Once it is well mixed, add a cup of warm water bit by bit. I recommend doing this slowly while mixing as the mixture might need more or less water depending on quality of the flour.
  • Leave it a while to let it settle. Once it does, knead it a little until it becomes a uniform dough. From here, you can divide it to however many chapatis you’ll like.
  • When flattening it, you can of course use a mould to make it a round shape but I did mine freeform.
  • Heat up some ghee on a pan. You can use oil or butter. Carefully place the chapati into the pan. Make sure the ghee is coating it evenly. As the dough is also soft, you might want to use a large spatula to flip it as when one side is brown. Get both sides golden brown. Serve hot.
